Trigger is a Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) and a Master Hunter (MH) and is Qualified All Age (QAA). Trigger also passed the 2020 Fall HRC International Grand to earn his first Grand Pass towards his Grand Hunting Retriever Championship title.

While his Sire, Dude, is obviously important to Trigger’s inherited abilities, Trigger’s mothers genetics have proven to be the perfect complement to Dude as the pairing has been proven to be the most successful Dude pairing of all time producing 8 Hunting Retriever Champions “HRCH” and 2 Master Hunters “MH” thus far. These dogs are only 4 years old and still running events.

Trigger’s Dam is HRCH Bayou Side Dakotas Izzie MH who happens to be sired by another legendary dog, the 2nd most successful dog in HRC history, (behind Trigger’s Sire, “Dude”) GRHRCH Missys Cajun Dakota MH -”Cody”. Cody previously held the record for the most Grand passes ever until Dude passed him in 2016. Cody had 13 Grand passes and was inducted into the 2018 UKC Hall of Fame.

Trigger loves to train. And compete. He’s always upbeat and forgiving. He wants to learn and wants to do right. Much like his Dad, he is an excellent marking dog and he has a knack for running straight lines.

Trigger is the perfect gentleman in hunting situations. He’s quiet and steady, making him a true gentleman’s gundog and an excellent hunting companion.
